Acrobat Reader 9 and X co-exist

Category: Windows
------------------------------------------------------------

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free PDF reader...and I believe most popular one! The latest version X (10) offers many new good looking features...but it's prone to crash and slow many a times.
But, when Reader X is installed, it un-installs the old version...and leaves no option other than itself.
So, this is workaround to keep older and newer version on Windows machine!

Follow these steps for using old Acrobat Reader with Reader X:
[Assuming Reader 9 is already installed]
1. Backup "Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0" folder
2. Install Adobe Reader X
3. Restore "Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0" folder. Now in "Program Files\Adobe\" we have two Reader 9.0 and Reader 10.0
4. Rename "Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" to something line AcroRd329.exe
5. Right click on any .pdf file andOpen With --> Choose Program...
6. Select "Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\AcroRd329.exe" and OK to proceed.
7. Now right click context will always show two options in Open With.., Reader 9 and Reader X.
8. With help of Choose Program... the Reader 9.0 can be made by default option also.
